Commissioned by Perpetuel Gallery, this project marks the official launch cinematic for the Dominique Renaud Pulse 60, a masterpiece of independent horology operating at a radical 1Hz frequency that mirrors a resting human heartbeat. Our creative objective was to translate this poetic, deliberate mechanical cadence into a captivating visual narrative, capturing the hypnotic motion of its oversized 20mm balance wheel. However, luxury commercial shoots come with strict production constraints; with only a single physical prototype available on set and two missing design variations required for the final cut, we had to innovate. We captured the physical craftsmanship, extreme macro details, and deep textures of the available model using high-end live-action cinematography and precise color grading, establishing a rich visual foundation.

To solve the prototype shortage, we turned to a cutting-edge hybrid workflow that seamlessly blends traditional filmmaking with advanced digital synthesis. We utilized generative AI pipelines to construct hyper-realistic digital twins of the two missing variations, flawlessly integrating them into the live-action footage with perfect continuity of light and reflection. Furthermore, the film's entire atmospheric score and mechanical sound design were engineered from scratch using AI audio tools to echo the watch's slow, rhythmic heartbeat. The resulting film perfectly bridges heritage craftsmanship and future-forward filmmaking, delivered thanks to Perpetuel Gallery’s immense trust and creative freedom.
